Our Mission
Our mission is to support artists on their journey toward reaching their full potential and achieving financial freedom by providing mentoring and educational opportunities while creating a safe, collaborative, and upscale environment in which they can provide the best experience for their clients.
Our Promise
Rachel is the 4th generation to own a business working out of the building her great-grandmother built as a hair salon in 1969. (Pictured above are Rachel, her great-aunt Diane and her mom, Susan). We have had so much fun restoring the space together, finding the original flooring and wallpaper under layers of material added over the decades. Our promise is to run this new business in a way that would make our grandma proud, with kindness, hard work and dedication to supporting the artists who choose to be a part of our collective.
Our Salon
Our freestanding building offers a large private parking lot, over 2500 sq ft of interior space, 16 hair styling stations, lash and esthetician beds, and nail stations. We have a newly designed waiting area where guests can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages.
Meet Susan
I am a lifelong Kent resident, a former RHS teacher, with a master’s from KSU, and have run several successful businesses over the past 25 years.
My husband and I have been married for 28 years and the most important thing in the world to us is our four kids. That ranking is very closely followed by the love we have for our pups.
I am obsessed with traveling. Although I love exploring with my family, I am also infatuated with solo adventures. Camping, hiking, and backpacking…being absolutely alone in nature is my happy place.
I recently celebrated my 50th birthday, and my next goal in life is to build a salon that not only supports my daughter’s dreams, but helps to build secure financial futures for the artists who choose to have their businesses be a part of our collective.

Meet Rachel
I have always been a lover of all things beauty. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been playing with makeup, trying new hairstyles, painting my nails… it was always something I was passionate about. When the time came to talk about college, I decided to take a different route and enrolled in the cosmetology program at RHS. I started in the program when I was 15 and I’ve been in this industry ever since.
I started working in a salon during my senior year of high school and my clientele grew rapidly (thanks to all my wonderful clients and mentors) and I was able to switch to booth rental. Owning my own business absolutely changed my life and that’s what made me want to open a booth rental salon of my own. I want to create the opportunity for stylists to be their own bosses, while providing a supportive, safe, luxury space in which to work and grow.
I’m a dog-loving, fitness junkie, Starbucks obsessed girl who is absolutely in awe of the life I get to live. Whether you’ve been a mentor, teacher, family, friend, client, or simply have just followed along on my journey, I appreciate your being here.
There is truly no other profession I can see myself working in and I can’t wait to welcome you into our salon!
